Earpulse (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application Earpulse (the “App”). Please read this Privacy Policy carefully.
Health Data
- Heart Rate Data: The App collects heart rate measurements from your AirPods Pro 3 biometric sensors
- Activity Information: Activity types you select during tracking sessions (e.g., sitting, walking, standing)
- Session Data: Start time, end time, duration, and calculated statistics (average, minimum, maximum BPM)
HealthKit Data
- The App reads heart rate data from workouts in the preinstalled fitness app (if available)
- The App saves heart rate measurements to Apple’s HealthKit
- All HealthKit data is managed by Apple and subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy
- Device model and iOS version (for app functionality and support purposes)
- App preferences (e.g., date format selection)
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide heart rate tracking and monitoring functionality
- Display your heart rate history and statistics
- Enable activity-based filtering and analysis
- Integrate with Apple HealthKit for comprehensive health tracking
- Synchronize your data across your devices using iCloud
- Improve app functionality and user experience
Data Storage and Security
iCloud/CloudKit Storage
- All app data is stored securely in your iCloud account using Apple’s CloudKit framework
- Data is automatically synchronized across all your devices signed in with the same Apple ID
- Your data is encrypted both in transit and at rest by Apple
- Data synchronization requires you to be signed in to iCloud on your device
- We do not have access to your iCloud data - it is managed entirely by Apple
- Your data persists through app updates and device changes
Local Storage
- Data is also cached locally on your device for offline access
- Local data is stored in the app’s Documents directory using SwiftData
- Local cache is automatically synchronized with iCloud when online
HealthKit Integration
- Heart rate data is saved to Apple’s HealthKit
- HealthKit data is encrypted and managed by Apple
- You control HealthKit data access through iOS Settings
- HealthKit data is subject to Apple’s Privacy Policy
Data Security
- All data is encrypted using Apple’s iCloud encryption standards
- Data synchronization is handled securely by Apple’s CloudKit infrastructure
- We do not have access to your personal health data stored in iCloud
- Your data remains private and secure, accessible only to you through your Apple ID
- Data is automatically backed up as part of your iCloud account
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not share, sell, or disclose your personal information to third parties.
Specifically:

Your Rights and Choices
Access and Control
- You can view all your data within the App
- You can delete individual sessions or all data through the App
- You can control iCloud synchronization through iOS Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud
- You can control HealthKit access through iOS Settings → Privacy → Health
Data Deletion
- You can delete sessions using the App’s delete functionality
- Deleted data is removed from both local storage and iCloud
- You can delete all app data by uninstalling the App
- You can disable iCloud synchronization for the App in iOS Settings
- HealthKit data can be managed through iOS Settings
iCloud Synchronization
- iCloud synchronization is automatically enabled when you are signed in to iCloud
- You can disable iCloud synchronization for the App at any time through iOS Settings
- Disabling iCloud sync will only affect future data; existing iCloud data remains until manually deleted
- Data synchronization requires an active internet connection
HealthKit Permissions
- You can grant or revoke HealthKit permissions at any time
- Go to iOS Settings → Privacy → Health → Earpulse to manage permissions
Children’s Privacy
The App is not intended for children under the age of 15. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 15. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:
- Posting the new Privacy Policy in the App
- Updating the “Last Updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy
- For significant changes, we may provide additional notice
